Testimonials
“We had such a wonderful and educational experience. We visited the Belize Raptor Center with our toddler who was just enthralled with the raptors. Sara and Rob are very knowledgeable about the birds they are rehabilitating. The demonstrations with the up and close raptors were captivating! Would recommend to anyone in the San Ignacio area. We had a rental car which was convenient but many resorts offer transportation to this attraction.”

“We had a few hours before dark after visiting ATM, and we decided to give it a go. Boy am I glad. You get to see raptors from up close, you get to meet people, volunteers, and when all is said and done, you leave in a “feel-good” mood. Entrance is free, you’d need a car to get there, any donation is appreciated as they are a non-profit and donations go for the food and well being of the raptors. This is one place I would not hesitate to visit again in San Ignacio.”

“Due to covid we were the only ones there and had a two hour educational event to ourselves. Not only did we learn a lot about raptors but were able to hear about the reasons how they came to the center. We also learned much about other wildlife and the local community. It certainly was one of our best experiences while in Belize. The center is doing great work for not only the animals but for the community. Make a reservation in advance as I think they currently are not doing scheduled visits. You’ll be glad you did!!”

“Great way to spend a warm afternoon. Information station is an enclosed, shaded large area where you are with these birds, learning there habits, training ability, and if you are comfortable enough you can be part of the show! There is so much more, these birds are rescued and rehabilitate if possible to their own habitat again. This visit totally changed my belief about some of these endangered species, due to human. Another interesting experience in San Ignacio.”
